BRIDGE Civil Engineering Ltd is committed to providing a workplace that prevents injury and ill health  for all employees and those affected by our operations.  We will comply with all legal requirements in particular the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007.

Managers and supervisory staff have the responsibility for implementing this policy throughout the company and will ensure that the management of health safety and welfare forms an integral part of our business and project planning process.  The company will employ the professional services of The Building Safety Group Limited to provide assistance and advice in this respect.

All employees will be expected to comply and co-operate with the company in the implementation of this policy and must ensure that all our operations, so far as is reasonably practicable, are undertaken without risk of harm to themselves or others affected by our work.

Subcontractors will be required to comply with our policies and will be assessed for competence prior to being employed by the company.  Their performance will also be monitored.

This policy is implemented through our Safety Policy and Management Procedures and is communicated to all employees.  The involvement of individuals within the organisation in the ongoing review and management of health and safety is promoted through active consultation and local involvement.

The Health Safety and Welfare of all our employees and those affected by our operations is recognised as an integral part of our business performance.  The Directors of the company will review this policy and the company’s health and safety management systems annually and take actions to improve overall performance as necessary.

A copy of this statement will be available at all places of work and will be relayed to all employees and subcontractors.
